Off Season in Telluride...

OFF-SEASON
What’s open, what’s closed this off-season

The quiet of off-season has descended on Telluride. Main street is a vacant place occupied only by scattered pedestrians, gusts of dusty wind and construction work. You may be flying off to some far-flung place to eat strange foods, build orphanages or surf crazy waves, or you may be hunkering down in town. If the latter applies to you, here’s a list of openings and closings of local bars, restaurants and stores in the region. The list, which was submitted by the nice folks at the Telluride Tourism Board, may not be complete, and any business owners who are omitted can contact the Planet, 728-9877, and ask for Katie.

The gondola will begin running again May 22. In the interim, free public bus service will be operating in Mountain Village and between Mountain Village and Telluride from April 6 through May 21. Check out the bus schedules at www.townofmountainvillage.com/bus.

Enjoy the off-season.
