NEWS FLASH!
This week in Telluride:
Schools close for the first time in 10 years. Due to high amounts of snowfall the school district decided to call off the buses and give the kids an extra day of rest from the holiday vacation.
Ophir residents were stranded starting Sunday morning when an avalanche slide occurred Saturday evening. After much bombing Ophir will finally be functioning today with drivable but still snow covered roads.
Several people had their passes taken away from ducking ropes on Gold Hill. If they were smarter perhaps they would still be skiing but their helmet cam gave away all evidence of their stupidity and complete lack of safety concern. "This says no skiing and there are orange ropes, let's go for it!"
The snow keeps coming and the smiles keep getting bigger. Come visit Telluride before you miss the most unbelievable snow this town has seen in years!
