Happy Thanksgiving from Telluride 360 Real Estate!
The people of Telluride and Mountain Village are warming up for the Thanksgiving holiday with some turns on a somewhat snowy Village Bypass Run.
It’s donation day and a few people are taking advantage of the first opportunity of the season to ski and board. Snowmakers have been cranking out snow for weeks, fighting warm temperatures and a lack of a natural base, and they’ve created just enough snow to open the mountain today.

A sure sign that things are picking up in Telluride, the gondola, which has been closed for off-season maintenance, reopens this Friday. Once again, residents of Telluride and Mountain Village will be able to travel between the two towns with ease and without a car.

Getting Ready for Ski Season
According to Telluride Ski Resort, the mountain received 6 inches of snow on Friday night and more snow is in the forecast for this evening. The real snow combined with the fake stuff shooting out of the snow makers today just may save the opening day of ski season, scheduled for November 24th.

Watching the Sky for Snow
The Telluride Ski Resort officially opens November 24th and Telluride and Mountain Village will be bustling with visitors and residents returning to town for the Thanksgiving holiday. Whether there will be enough snow for skiing is yet to be determined. Temperatures in the 50’s are forecasted for the rest of the workweek with no prediction of snow.
