Real Estate sales increased in 2004
Real Estate numbers in San Miguel county have soared past numbers from 2003. At the end of 2004 the 790 real estate sales totaled $534 million. This was 50% higher than the total sales amount in the year 2003. Most of these sales came from condos with single family homes coming in second.
Are more people coming to Telluride, or are the locals of Telluride upsizing/downsizing? The Telluride visitors bureau has been increasing advertising outside of the area. It sure seems as though this has helped the real estate market as well as the tourism industry.
